This generalization came from an article I read a few years back regarding the two major political parties of the US. Truth be told, I’m not a political person. I can empathize with most peoples’ point of view on issues that inherently don’t have a “correct” approach. I can see from both sides, so to speak. However, when I do vote, I tend to lean left–I am Californian after all. Yet, I’m still relatively young and I have heard that people become more conservative as they age.
When we think of conservatives in the US, we often think of people associated with the major religions: Christianity being the largest one of them all. Religion teaches the importance of purity and upholding a strict moral code of conduct. I think people who embody that way of life tend to be just a bit healthier both mentally and physically, which makes sense that they would have a natural inner or outer beauty–or both for that matter. People who are more liberal, on the other hand, are more open to ideas and new experiences, as the definition of the word implies. Openness has been shown to be moderately correlated with intelligence.
In China, citizens typically are not political because it’s a one-party system. The average person does not have any say in government, but that’s clearly not the case in America. As we witnessed today with the senseless assassination of Charlie Kirk, freedom comes at a price.
