I made a friend recently who is a vegan. As I usually do with people I like, I tend to adopt their attributes to test out how I would respond to it. Vegetarianism is not as undoable as I used to think it was. My parents are carnivorous beings and so I grew up eating a lot of meat. However, it’s not the healthiest lifestyle out there. There is something truly respectable about the ability to abstain from eating something that really isn’t just that good for you. Meat, consumed in excess, is really just about having a pleasurable experience. I haven’t been able to cut back completely yet, but I’m making good progress at the moment. I’ve been leaning towards vegetable-based diets more and more and my bowel movements have been improving steadily. I don’t know how long I will be able to keep this up, but it’s surely positive thing for my general health.
