Whenever there’s a political discussion or dilemma, it’s often the case that I am able to empathize with both sides. This can be a disadvantage in certain instances where the environment is inherently political. Such person can come off as distant, aloof, and a bit of a loner. But it’s just who I am. I’ve never considered myself as being a part of a group or anything of those sorts. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve moved around a lot or anything like that. There are certain pros and cons to being in such a situation.

The only logical explanation for this case is that I possess a relatively high intelligence. This is not a vanity thing. There have been studies that have suggest that people of higher intelligence tend to be a little bit lonelier. Of course, loneliness in and of itself is not a sign of high intelligence. However, people that tend to be a little smarter tend to engage in certain forms of thinking that the general population is unable to entertain. Furthermore, it makes sense that they adopt behaviors that are relatively eccentric to the average person.
