One of the major lessons I’ve learned as a tennis player is that it’s important to be confident. If you want to win and you’re up against an opponent who is of equal or greater skill caliber, you need to have confidence and believe in yourself. I think the same thing goes in real life. However, the downside is that that confidence can be quickly be perceived to be arrogance by your peers, so you end up appearing like the bad guy. Nevertheless, tennis is not a team sport and I think I’ve already established that fact.
