I’m not an influencer by any means, but I’ve been using social media more frequently just to express my opinions and thoughts regarding things. It’s good exercise and it allows me to study what social media is and find a “proper” way to use it. Again, I believe that people who hold high status in society should be using social media to set an example for the younger generation. Social media is a relatively new tool and there needs to be unspoken etiquette set in for the first time. I think that’s proper and fair and, overall, good for society even though you will get criticized for expressing your thoughts. People will always criticize.
All in all, I want to thank the influencers who’ve created a strong foundation of followers on which I can piggy back my comments on. I think it’s only fair that I give back by giving my analysis of the experience on this blog as well as do my best to support them with comments that promote a more enlightening and pedagogical exchange and also to supply them with likes and follows. Social media is here to stay and I think avoiding it and pretending it’ll just go away is not the answer. We have to engage with it and set an example for others to follow–even if it means we give up an ounce of our sanity.
