Beige is the black of interior design

Black is a very popular color in fashion because it pairs well with everything; it’s classic, mysterious, and it just works with a multitude of outfits. However, black is rarely found in interior design. The analogous color for the interior designer, as I’ve learned the hard way, is beige, a neutral color that tends to go well with everything. From my shower curtain to my bed sheets, beige is the new black because a beige foundation can really tie a room together nicely.
