One year

Today marks the one-year anniversary of this blog, and I feel impelled to write something. It’s been a week since I’ve written anything because I’ve been busy putting together the final manuscript for my postdoc and getting it ready for submission before I leave for architecture school. Overall, this blog has been a blessing: it’s given me an outlet to jot down my thoughts, and I feel I can make decisions more logically because I’ve reasoned through certain things and thought about a whole range of topics (and have written them down) beforehand.

Writing this blog has largely shaped my thought process and helped me make the difficult decision to transition from the sciences into the architectural realm, and I’m really grateful for that. All in all, I’ve written just a little over 300 posts, and I’m pretty proud of each one of them. I think this is a hobby I will keep up long-term.
